Day 36 of #yogasutrachallenge: YS 1.36 Visoka va jyotismati: Or you can dwell on the blissful light within
Day 36 of #yogasutrachallenge: YS 1.36 Visoka va jyotismati: Or you can dwell on the blissful light within. With this sutra, we can all learn to allow our inner selves to truly shine. Patanjali offers this as another alternative to help us find enlightenment – literally by focusing on our own inner light. The mind in its perfect, balanced (sattvic) state would be completely lucid and clear, like pure light, pure intelligence shining, but directed nowhere. Pure peace and happiness. We all have this capability, it’s all what we truly are, but it’s just that our radiance is clouded but everyday experience. The view on this sutra is that you should meditate on the light in the heart centre, which, represented by the lotus flower, is the seat of the soul. By doing this you will connect with your true self and bring that sense of bliss and intelligence to your whole being. You will radiate love, joy and peace. From there, any sense of yourself can slip away, and you can reach Samadhi.
