Natalie Morrison is one of London’s leading modern mindfulness and meditation teachers, a yoga and movement teacher, speaker, environmentalist, and a seeker in understanding how to apply these disciplines to the challenges of our modern times.

As a graduate in Philosophy and Economics, and having previously led a fast-paced, successful career in digital strategy, she translates understanding of physical and spiritual practices, social mechanisms and scientific insights into practical guidance that’s relevant to today and tomorrow’s world.

biography

Natalie teaches yoga, meditation and mindfulness at studios and venues across London and the UK, and works with some of the world’s leading companies to deliver meditation programs and events. She speaks at conferences on conscious living and sustainable wellbeing and she is the founder of As We Live and Breathe, an events and retreats organisation which seeks to promote conscious living for personal and planetary wellbeing. In addition, she coaches and trains a wide variety of private clients to enhance their wellbeing. She also writes for several publications on wellness-related topics, including Yogi Times and Balance Garden.

By honing our ability to slow down our pace and find a sense of stillness and presence, and by developing our sense of what's possible through body, intention and breath, Natalie's teaching inspires a gradual awakening of, and shift towards, the fullness of our potential.

Natalie’s approach blends ancient Buddhist and yogic practices and contemporary breath, mindset and movement modalities to cultivate our vitality, awareness and our connection with the world. She is particularly interested in how, through developing a deeper connection with the nervous system and the senses we are able to shift towards a greater sense of harmony and wholeness.

Natalie started practicing yoga and meditation as a teenager to overcome an eating disorder and developed her practice throughout her corporate career to help her manage stress, enhance her performance and maintain a healthy body and mind. She didn’t fully realise it for a while, but she was also in search of a greater sense of meaning and purpose, and a way of living her live in line with her deepest values.

She eventually trained in yoga with such renowned international teachers as Sarah Powers and Shiva Rae, and in meditation with zen master and psychotherapist Michael Stone. She continues to develop her meditation teaching with Bodhi College under the tutelage of such teachers as John Peacock, Christina Feldman and Stephen Batchelor and under the Order of Interbeing, founded by Thich Nhat Hahn.

As her spiritual practice developed to become more outward looking towards issues of social justice and the environment, she also discovered a rekindling of her background in economics and social science in order to understand the mechanisms behind how our society operates. Much of her motivation, teaching and inquiry now centres around how personal, social and planetary well-being inform each other.
